Pilot Trip Analyzer — Beta Program
Effective August 3, 2026 ← BACK TO APP
The short version: during the beta we count how often you use each feature and what kind of device you're on — never what's in your bids, trips, or schedule. You can turn it off with one switch, and when the app leaves beta, collection becomes opt-in.
What We Collect

When you're signed in, the app records that a feature was used — a name, a count, and a date. Specifically:

FeatureWhat's recorded
AnalyzerThat a bid package was analyzed, and how many trips it contained
Trip BuilderThat lines were built, how many, and which build engine was used
PBS LoaderThat picks were exported or copied, and how many trips
Bid RadarThat it was opened or viewed
Sign-insThat you signed in, and when
Device typeiPad, iPhone, Mac, or Windows PC — so we know what to optimize for

Each record is tied to your account so we can tell active testers from dormant ones and (if you opt in) send you your own monthly recap. Your account itself stores only your email, an optional phone number for verification, and — if you filled out the beta survey — your name, base, equipment, and seat.

What We Never Collect
The contents of your bidding stay yours. We never record which trips you pick, the pairings in your bid package, your lines, your picks, your seniority number, or anything else that describes your schedule or your choices. Counts only — never contents.

Cloud Sync is separate and unchanged: your saved picks and settings sync so your devices match, and nobody reads them.

Why We Collect It

This is a small beta. Knowing which features actually get used during a bid period — and on what devices — decides where the development effort goes. If everyone builds lines on an iPad and nobody opens Bid Radar, that's what shapes the roadmap.

Turning It Off (Beta = On by Default)

During the beta, usage counting is on unless you turn it off. To turn it off:

  1. Open the app and tap the ⚙ Settings (gear) button.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings panel.
  3. Turn the Usage Stats switch off.

That's it — nothing more is recorded from any of your devices signed into your account, and anything not yet sent is discarded.

When we leave beta, this flips. At version 1.0, usage counting becomes opt-in: nothing is collected unless you say yes.
The Optional Monthly Recap

Separately from the counting itself, you can choose to receive a short monthly email with your own numbers — how many lines you built, how many exports, and so on. It's off by default. Turn it on with the Monthly Recap switch in Settings or the one-click link in our announcement email; every recap email has an unsubscribe link.

How Long We Keep It
Who Touches the Data

Only the developer sees usage data, and day to day it's looked at in aggregate ("how many pilots used Trip Builder this month"), not pilot by pilot. Individual numbers are never published or shared with other testers.

Like almost every web app, we rely on a few service providers to run the infrastructure. They process data on our behalf and nothing more:
